Slab Leak Detection and Repair in San Diego
We locate the leak with acoustic and pressure equipment, then give you three prices: fix the spot, reroute the line overhead, or repipe. You pick with the numbers in front of you.
- 24/7, no after-hours upcharge
- One-year labor warranty
- CA License C-36 #1157656

Sound familiar? It is worth a call.
- A warm or wet spot on a tile, wood, or concrete floor
- The water meter moves with every fixture off
- A water bill that jumped with no change in use
- Sound of running water when nothing is on
- Cracks in the slab or flooring lifting
Detection first. We pressure test hot and cold separately, then use acoustic listening and line tracing to pin the leak to a spot, not a room. Guessing costs you a jackhammered floor in the wrong place.
Repair comes in three forms. A spot repair opens the slab at the leak and replaces that section. A reroute abandons the buried line and runs a new one through walls and attic, which avoids breaking the slab and is the right call when the pipe is failing in more than one place. A full repipe replaces every supply line and is the right call when the house is on its second or third slab leak. We quote all three, every time.

Book or call. If water is actively coming up, we treat it as an emergency and isolate the line the same day.
We locate the leak and show you the meter test and the spot.
Three written quotes: spot, reroute, repipe.
You choose. Spot repairs finish in a day. Reroutes usually two.
What this county does to plumbing.
Most homes here sit on slab-on-grade foundations with copper supply lines poured directly into the concrete. Soft copper, high municipal pressure, and hard water combine to eat pinholes in those lines somewhere between year 25 and 40. A house built between 1965 and 1990 in Clairemont, Mira Mesa, Poway, or Vista that has had one slab leak will have another, because the whole run is the same age and the same pipe. That is why we quote the reroute and repipe alongside the spot fix. The spot fix is cheapest today. It is rarely cheapest over five years.
Flat, in writing, before we start.
Detection is quoted flat. Repair is quoted flat per option once the leak is located. If you proceed to a reroute or repipe, the detection is part of that job, not a separate charge. One-year labor warranty.

Answered straight.
How do I know it is a slab leak and not something else?
Turn every fixture off and watch the meter. If it moves, water is leaving the pipe somewhere. A warm spot on the floor points to the hot line.
Do you have to break the floor?
For a spot repair, yes, in one place. For a reroute, no.
Will insurance cover it?
Policies often cover the damage and the access, and often exclude the pipe itself. Our detection report gives your adjuster what they need. Check your policy.
Is this an emergency?
If water is surfacing, yes. Call and we isolate the line tonight.
Should I just repipe?
If this is the second slab leak, or the house is over 30 years old with original copper, usually yes. We give you the number and let you compare.
How long does it take?
Detection is a few hours. Spot repair one day. Reroute one to two.
